    Dr. Alfonso Del Valle, MD, FRCS

    Medical Director, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility Specialist


    Dr. Del Valle became interested in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility while he was in training in Internal Medicine. He acquired Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 1981. He is one of few, who after completing training in Internal Medicine, became Board Certified in Obstetrics in Gynecology in 1985 at the University of Toronto. Upon completion of his Obstetrics and Gynecology training, Dr. Del Valle did post graduate training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A.


    Under the mentorship of Dr. Frederick Nattolin, Dr. Del Valle developed a keen interest in research and innovation in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.


    Dr. Del Valle has authored numerous scientific publications and presented his data nationally and internationally. Dr. Del Valle is often quoted in the media and is often invited to lecture locally and abroad.  He is currently a staff member at the department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Toronto.

     

    Aside from his numerous academic and scientific achievements, Dr. Del Valle is an advocate for patient's rights and ensures that his team looks after the patients with care and compassion.


    Dr. Del Valle belongs to the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologist of Canada, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the Society of Cryobiology, and the American Association of Tissue Banks.

     

    Dr. Del Valle's main interests are in the area of In Vitro Fertilization, egg donation, and surrogacy, as well as aspects related to male infertility.

    Dr. Hananel Holzer, MD, BSc

    Medical Doctor


    Dr. Hananel Holzer is the Medical Director of Third-Party Reproduction and Medical Education at The Fertility Partners.  Until recently, he served as the Director of the R.E.I. and I.V.F. Departments and the Associate Director of the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Israel. Dr. Holzer is the Former Medical Director of the McGill University Health Centre Reproductive Centre and the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division of McGill University in Montreal. He is also involved in developing fertility related projects around the world mainly in Central Europe.

     

    Dr. Holzer graduated from the Hebrew University and Hadassah Medical School as Class Valedictorian in 1992, completed his Ob. Gyn. Residency at Hadassah and a two-year REI Fellowship Program at McGill University in Montreal where he was later recruited as a staff member. Between 2008 and 2012, Dr. Holzer served as the Director of the REI Fellowship Program at McGill University. In 2010 he was appointed as the Medical Director of the McGill University Health Centre Reproductive Centre. Dr. Holzer served as a member of many committees among which are the provincial ART advisory committees in Quebec and Ontario.

     

    Dr. Holzer holds an Adjunct Professor appointment in the McGill University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Montreal. He is the author of over a hundred publications in the field of infertility, a member of editorial boards of several journals and is a highly regarded invited speaker around the world. His main interests are fertility preservation for cancer patients, in-vitro maturation of oocytes and a comprehensive team approach to infertility related issues.

    Dr. Violetta Buduryan, MD, FACOG

    Obstetrician-gynecologist


    Dr. Buduryan obtained her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Minsk, Belarus and in New York City, NY, USA.   She is a Fellow of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, an active Diplomate of American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of American Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada.


    She is a former clinical instructor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt.Sinai, New York, USA.  Dr. Buduryan is under clinical mentorship of Dr. Del Valle and has developed interest in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She is passionate about women’s health and delivering the highest quality care to her patients.

    Dr. Tao Tao, PHD, HCLD (ABB)

    Director of Embryology


    Dr. Tao is a CFAS certified ART Laboratory Director and ABB board certified Embryologist, Andrologist, and High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director. He received his PhD in Embryo Biotechnology from China Agricultural University and the Institut fur Tierzucht und Tierverhalten, FAL, Germany (joint program), and completed extensive post-doctoral training at the University of Missouri. Dr. Tao has worked in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technologies for over 28 years.


    From 1988 to 1999, Dr. Tao had been engaged in the studies on embryo biotechnologies, including nuclear transfer, gene transfer, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, in vitro maturation, in vitro fertilization, embryo freezing and embryo splitting in the pig, cow, rabbit, goat and mouse.


    In 2000, Dr. Tao joined Conceptia Clinic, Moncton, NB, Canada as a Senior Embryologist. He established all ART programmes and ran the IVF Laboratory. Dr. Tao also joined several other fertility clinics in North America as IVF Laboratory Director between 2005 and 2018. During these years, he acquired extensive knowledge in the areas of human ICSI, IVF, IVM, TESA, Egg freezing, PGD/PGS, Assisted Hatching, Blastocyst Culture and Vitrification, Cryopreservation. Dr. Tao also served as an Assistant Professor in the OB/GYN department at the Mercer University School of Medicine. He has over 40 publications in peer review journals to his credit.


    In 2018, Dr. Tao joined ReproMed Fertility as the IVF Laboratory Director. Dr. Tao’s 28 years of experience in assisted reproduction has been an asset to the establishment and the continuing growth of our ART program. Dr. Tao is a member of many professional associations, such as Canadian Fertility & Andrology Society; the American Society for Reproductive Medicine; European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.

    Hani Jaroudi

    Director of Finance


    Hani Jaroudi is the Director of Finance at The Toronto Institute for Reproductive Medicine.  He joined the practice in 1998 and is responsible for overseeing human resources, accounting and financial management, and purchasing.  Hani has extensive experience in the field of operational accounting and staff management. Prior to joining the clinic, Hani spent time with Revenue Canada and Siemens Electric. 


    He graduated in 1996 from Fanshaw College in London Ontario with a diploma in Accounting & Business Administration.  Hani is fluent in French and Arabic.

    Kyle Macdonald

    Director of Operations


    Kyle Macdonald is the Director of Operations at The Toronto Institute for Reproductive Medicine.  Since 2008 he has championed the clinic's achievements within the reproductive community, has managed the key partner relationships, and works with the medical team in providing the best patient care possible.  He helped launch the Embryo Donation Program at the clinic that has made a difference for numerous patients in their goal of starting a family.  A member of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, he sits on the Leadership and Management Special Interest Group in the promotion of clinic management.  In 2019 he completed the York University Certificate in Leadership of Assisted Reproduction in Clinical Settings. 


    Prior to joining the clinic, Kyle spent 11 years in Business Development working for such organizations as AT&T, Dell, and Netcom.  In these roles he helped to build successful channel alliances, launched key communication programs, and assisted in the development of new product initiatives.

    Allison Tscherner

    Director, Andrology Laboratory and Reproductive Tissue Bank


    Allison K. Tscherner PhD joined Repromed as Director, Andrology Laboratory and Reproductive Tissue Bank, in 2022. Dr. Tscherner has previously worked in the field of reproduction for over 9 years. She completed her doctorate at the Reproductive Biotechnology Laboratory at the University of Guelph, followed by a Fellowship at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. Her scientific interests involve the importance of small molecules (such as RNA, amino acids, etc.) in the context of both male and female gametes, as well as the preimplantation embryo. Dr. Tscherner is an award-winning leader and passionate supporter of teaching, training, and professional development. She is focused and committed to patient-centered care. Dr. Tscherner is a member of the Canadian Fertility & Andrology Society and the Society for the Study of Reproduction.

    Dara Roth Edney

    Counsellor


    Dara has been a social worker since 2000, with a focus on reproduction. She is dedicated to work that is inclusive, empathetic, personalized and helpful, inspired by her own long journey with infertility, IVF and ultimately, surrogacy. Dara compassionately supports people through the profound emotions of infertility and loss, and is equally committed to those using assisted reproduction due to sexual orientation, gender identity or relationship status. Her expertise includes individual and couple counselling, decision-making guidance and development of effective coping strategies. She conducts assessments for donors and surrogates, and provides counselling for those working with donors/surrogates. Dara facilitates support groups, is a regular speaker for LGBTQ and other community agencies and industry organizations, and is actively involved in research and advocacy. She is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, and offers in-person as well as video appointments.

    Kaleb Einstein Montgomery

    Acupuncturist


    Kaleb Montgomery is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and is the clinical director of Fertility Toronto Acupuncture Clinic. Fertility Toronto is devoted solely to treating male and female fertility problems and pregnancy care. The clinic uses acupuncture, Chinese herbs, nutrition and lifestyle counseling to help couples have healthy pregnancies and babies. He works closely with patients who are going through ART (Assisted Reproductive Therapy), procedures like IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) or IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) to help increase their success rates.


    Kaleb teaches Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Institute of Traditional Medicine and at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, and is the columnist on Women’s Issues for Acupuncture Today Magazine. Over the years he has been interviewed numerous times for health advice in Now Magazine. In a great combination of East and West, he also practices with Dr. Del Valle at ReproMed, the Toronto Institute for Reproductive Medicine.
